Workplace Violence and the Importance of Prevention, Preparation, and Planning

During the past ten years, Rick Maltz has been actively involved in the design and implementation of workplace violence prevention programs.  For more than eight of those ten years, I have had the opportunity to consult with Rick to address many potentially violent situations in the workplace and in each case the situation was resolved without serious injury or loss of life.  It is no accident that Rick has had a high level of success in a high-risk field.  Not only does he stress solid fundamentals of safety and risk- prevention, but he also has been able to integrate his years of experience in the law enforcement profession with psychologically-based methods of threat assessment and intervention that result in positive outcomes.
